The Inro Saya is available as a Saya option without additional fees and only for this model. The large wave pattern of the Inro Saya goes all the way down to the Sayajiri and offers a much better grip on the Saya making it very practical on the battlefield. In addition to its original Fuchi/Kashira set, the Yagyu Koshira has two other specifities, its gorgeous Inro Saya and Sakasa (reversed) Menuki. Shinkage meaning "the new shadow", the symbolic is consistent with this mist themed Yagyu Koshirae Iaito, which is actually a reinterpretation of an antique sword of the Yagyu familly currently privately owned. Consistent with the Inro lacquer of the Saya, this "mist" theme reminds us of the famous Yagyu Shinkage Ryu Kenjutsu school created by the Yagyu family. In Japanese, Kasumi means "Mist" or "Haze". Minosaka's Iaito lineup allows many customisations but each model is fixed and named depending on its Fuchi & Kashira, for this model, the Yagyu Kasumi Fuchi/Kashira set. It is an excellent iaito for beginners and intermediate alike who have enough budget to acquire a weapon of higher quality that allows some customization. This model has a "standard" blade for an average weight that results in a classic Iaito balance centered toward the Tsuba, and should be suitable for all practitioners. The Yagyu Koshirae is an High End Iaito fully order-made in Japan, made with a sandcasted bubble-free zinc/aluminum alloy blade.
